Hibs forward Colin Nish targeted by Scunthorpe United

Hibs striker Colin Nish has today been linked with a £200,000 move to English Championship side Scunthorpe United.

The 6ft 3in former Kilmarnock hit man has come to the attention of Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins, after he spent months spying on Rob Jones, before he left the Hibees to join the Iron in a £500,000 deal.

Nish may find it hard to hold down a regular place in the Hibees front line following the £500,000 arrival of Anthony Stokes from Sunderland, and with the Hibees also boasting strikers that include Moroccan forward Abdessalam Benjelloun and the goal machine that is Derek Riordan, as well as Jonatan Johannson and young Kurtis Bryne, Nish could be heading for the exit at Easter Road.

Life long Hibs fan Nish signed for the Hibees from Kilmarnock in a deal that cost £150,000, and he has scored 12 goals in 48 games since arriving in January 2008.
