According to reports in some of the Sunday tabloids, Hibs have entered the race to sign Celtic striker Anthony Stokes.

The former Hibs forward is available on loan, and over the last few days has been linked with Inverness and Dundee Utd.

It was reported that Stokes was on his way to Inverness, with Celtic boss Ronny Delia preffering he sign for the highland side.

However, the reports now claim that Stokes prefers a return to Easter Road and has no interest in a move to Inverness.

Stokes, 27, left the Hibees for Celtic in 2010 for £1.2m, after scoring 24 goals in 48 games in his time in Edinburgh.

Cardiff City and Leeds United have both also been linked with a move for the former Arsenal and Sunderland man.
