Hibs keeper Mark Oxley has tonight signed for Southend United.

As we revealed on Hibs-Mad a week or so back, Oxley was on the verge of a move to the English League One club.

The move has finally went through this evening, and the 25-year-old has signed a two-year-deal.

Oxley still had a year to run on his Easter Road contract and it's still unclear if Hibs recieved a fee for the player.

He played 90 games in a Hibs shirt, scoring 1 goal, and leaves Easter Road a Scottish Cup winner.

Oxley joins Farid El Alagui, Conrad Logan, Chris Dagnall, Anthony Stokes, Kevin Thomson  & Liam Henderson in leaving the club this summer.

Hibs-Mad would like to wish Mark the very best for the future, and thank him for his efforts in a green and white jersey.
