Hibs Ladies Win the 2017 Scottish Cup

Last updated : 26 November 2017 By Steve Forbes

Hibs Ladies have capped another magnificent season, by winning and retaining the Scottish Cup.

It also means the Lassies have won the cup double for the second season running, after winning the League Cup earlier in the season.

The Hibees won the 2017 version, tonight, by beating old foes Glasgow City 3-0 at the Tony Macaroni Stadium in Livingston.

Hibs took the lead right on half-time, when Hunter hooked the ball back towards goal, after a Brownlie Corner, and Harrison was on hand to knock it past the Glasgow keeper.

It was then 2-0 on 81 minutes when Siobhan Hunter hit an incredible 30+ yard free-kick straight into the top corner, leaving the City keeper stranded.

The cup was secured in the 90th minute when Rachael Small headed a Robertson cross into the top corner.

A fantastic result for the girls once again.

Hibs Ladies XI:

Fife, Hunter, Robertson, Smith, McLauchlan, Murray, Turner, Cornet, Harrison, Small, Brownlie.

Subs:

Reid, Michie, Leishman, Gallacher, Notley, Russell, Tweedie.

Congratulations girls, from everyone at Hibernian-Mad.
