Hibs linked to Charlton defender Patrick Bauer

Last updated : 04 June 2019 By Steve Forbes

According to the Lancashire Telegraph Hibs are interested in signing Charlton Athletic defender Patrick Bauer.

The 26-year-old German is out-of-contract at the Valley, and has a number of clubs monitoring his situation.

Rangers, QPR, Preston, Hull, Wigan, Blackburn Rovers and Millwall are all said to be keen on the player.

Hibs would clearly struggle to match the wages on offer from any of the above clubs, but it seem boss Paul Heckingbottom has him on a list of potential targets.

Bauer scored the winning, stoppage time, goal for Charlton in the recent League One Play-Off final clash with Sunderland at Wembley.

He has previously played for VFB Stuttgart in his homeland and Maritimo of Portugal.
