Hibs have today been linked with a January swoop for Gillingham midfielder Dom Jeffries.
According to website FLW, the Hibees have joined a number of other, unnamed, English sides in the chase for the former Brentford player.
The 21-year-old signed for the Gills from Brentford in June 2022 on a two-year-deal meaning his contract is up this summer.
Despite the website claiming Hibs are still managed by Jack Ross (Sorry guys you're a bit behind!) it claims current boss Nick Montgomery could offer the player a pre-contract and then land him in a cut-price deal, forcing the Gills hand once a deal is agreed.
Jeffries has played 60 times, scoring 2 goals in his time with the English League Two side.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
We know nothing about the lad, but we are crying out for a couple of new midfielders this window, so it's good to see we seem to be active quickly as it opens.
At 21, he has potential sell-on value, which Hibs will always look for, but he also has decent experience to boot.
