It was bound to happen eventually, but Hibs, have finally, been linked with a move for an Inverness player.
That player is winger Marley Watkins.
The 23-year-old Welshman can play on either wing, and is blessed with the pace and creativity that Butcher is looking to add to the Easter Road squad.
Watkins started his career as a youth at both Swansea and Chelsea.
He has since spent his career in the English lower leagues, appearing for Cheltenham Town, Bath City and Hereford United, before moving to Inverness on a free during the summer.
Watkins has been in good form in the Highlands, and it remains to be seen wether Butcher will make his move in the January transfer window or wait until the summer.
