Hibs linked with Larne striker Lee Bonis

Hibs have been linked with a move for in-form Irish striker Lee Bonis.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, the HIbees have joined the likes of Derby, Rotherham, Birmingham and Portsmouth in showing an interest in the Larne man.

The 22-year-old scored 16 goals and added 9 assists in 42 games last season, according to Transfermarkt, as Larne won the Irish League title.

The report suggests Hibs will monitor him this international window, as he has been rewarded for a fine season, by being included in the Northern Ireland squad for the first time.

Larne paid Portadown £100,000 for the player, and it's suggested that they will be looking for £300,000 should they let him go this window.

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

It's good to see Hibs being busy in the transfer market.

There will probably be a pretty big turnover of players again and it seems Bonis fits the bill.

Hibs will not be frightened off by that price tag, we have already paid over £500,000 for Elie Youan this summer.

In recent seasons we have also paid good fees for the likes of Elias Melkersen (500k), Harry McKirdy (400k), Kyle Magennis (400k), Dan Mackay (250k) and Kevin Nisbet (300k).

There should be cash to spend, in the last 12 months we have sold Kevin Nisbet (£2.2m), Josh Doig (£3.2m) and Martin Boyle (£3m).

Let's wait and see if we make a move for Bonis.
