Hibs linked with Midfielder Alex Gogic

Hibs have today been linked with a move for former Hamilton Accies midfielder Alex Gogic.

The 26-year-old is a free agent after leaving Accies following the completion of his contract, and according to Edinburgh Live, the Hibees will apparently ask the Cypriot to train at East Mains when the squad return next week.

Hibs boss Jack Ross is keen to take a look at the former Olympiacos and Swansea youth, who can play at centre half, or in front of the back four, as a defensive midfielder, a position the Hibees have struggled to fill since losing Mark Milligan and Marvin Bartley last summer.

Gogic has a number of clubs interested in his signature, with Aberdeen and St Mirren thought to also been keen on the player.

Editor's View:

Gogic would be an excellent addition to the squad.

He has been outstanding for Hamilton over the last few years, and his hard hitting style in the middle of the park is what the Hibees have been crying out for, for quite a while now.
