Hibs linked with move for Falkirk midfielder Scott Arfield!!!

Hibs have today been linked with a move for Falkirk midfielder Scott Arfield.

The 20-year-old Scotland U21 player has been a sensation since breaking through the Falkirk youth system, and Hibs boss John Hughes is keen to bring him to Easter Road.

According to a Sunday tabloid, Hibs chief Rod Petrie approached his counterpart at Falkirk George Craig, about the availability of Arfield, but it’s said Petrie was quoted £1m for his services.

Hughes is still keen on adding another couple of players to the five he has signed this summer.

Hibs have already Signed Plymouth Argyle keeper Graham Stack, Falkirk duo Patrick Cregg and Kevin McBride, as well as the £500,000 capture of Sunderland forward Anthony Stokes.

The Hibees are said to be keen to close a deal for Arfield before the transfer window shuts in a couple of weeks, and may offer Falkirk a player exchange deal, with the likes of Steven Thicot and Jonatan Johansson struggling to break in to the first team at Easter Road.
