Hibs have today been linked with a move for Preston North End right back Michael Hart.
The Hibees are said to be keen on securing the 29-year-old ex Livingston & Aberdeen defender on loan until the end of the season, with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer.
It’s thought Preston would be willing to let Hart leave on loan, if Hibs cover 50% of his £5,000-a-week wages, and would also be willing to let the player leave Deepdale in a permanent deal for a fee in the region of £200,000.
Right back, along with another centre half, are Hughes’ priority this January transfer window, and it seems Hart is one of a number of players in the managers thoughts.
