Hibs linked with summer move for Irish duo

Hibs are being linked with a couple of players in today's tabloids.

One newspaper has us, again, linked with Dundee United midfielder Willo Flood.

The 28-year-old right winger is out-of-contract at Tannadice in the summer, and Hibs have been credited with a pre-contract move for the Irishman.

Flood is in his second spell at United, having spent two loan periods with the Tayside club from Cardiff City, before a big money move to Celtic in 2010.

He only played 9 games for Celtic before a move to Middlesbrough within 12 months, that also didn't work out.

Flood re-joined United after his release from the Championship club.

Also being linked with a move to Easter Road in the summer is prolific Yeovil Town striker Paddy Madden.

Madden, 23, has already hit 22 goals this season, during an initial loan spell from Carlisle, then a permanent transfer in January.

The stumbling block for Hibs would be that Yeovil would be looking for a fee for a player they only signed 6 months ago, on a two-and-a-half year deal.

Madden has previously played for both Shelbourne and Bohemians in the Irish league,

Hibs boss Pat Fenlon was manager of Bohemians while Madden was with the Dublin based club.
