Hibs midfielder Dean Shiels has tonight left the club and signed for English Championship strugglers Doncaster Rovers.

Shiels has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at the Keepmoat stadium and is delighted to have made the move to England.

The 24-year-old was out of contract at Easter Road at the end of this current season, and the Hibees have accepted a nominal fee now for the player, thought to be in the region of £75,000.

Shiels is delighted with the move and speaking to the official Doncaster website he said:

"I'm delighted with the move,

"The style of football was one of the things that attracted me to Doncaster and the chance to work with (manager) Sean O'Driscoll was another.

"I know that the club is ambitious and that matches my ambition. I think it was the perfect choice for me."

It's sad to see Deano go, he was a massive favourite with the Hibees support and will be missed at Easter Road.

Hibernian-Mad would like to take this opportunity to wish Deano all the very best at his new club.

DEEEEEEEAAAAANNNNNNNOOOOOO!
