Hibs midfielder Dylan McGeouch signs for Sunderland

Last updated : 02 July 2018 By Steve Forbes

Hibs midfielder Dylan McGeouch has finally completed his summer move away from Easter Road.

The 25-year-old has today completed a move to English League One side Sunderland.

Scotland international McGeouch has signed for the Stadium of Light side under freedom of contract, following the expiry of his deal at Easter Road.

McGeouch had a number of sides chasing his signature, and at one point it was reported that he had signed a pre-contract deal with Blackburn Rovers.

However the move never happened and McGeouch was linked to a host of clubs, including Rangers, Aberdeen, Bristol City, Fulham, Brentford, Coventry City and QPR all linked at one point or another.

McGeouch leaves Easter Road a legend, having been part of the Hibees historic 2016 Scottish Cup winning side, as well as winning the Ladbrokes Championship and promotion.

He also won 2 Scotland caps at Easter Road and played 121 times for the club.

Hibernian-Mad would like to wish Dylan all the very best with his new club.

Legend.
