Hibs have been dealt a blow today with the new that influential French midfielder Guillaume Beuzelin has joined
Coventry City on under freedom of contract.

Beuzelin becomes the latest player to leave Easter Road, boss Mixu Paatelainen has already punted Patrick Noubissie, Dermot McCaffrey, Keegan Ayre, Mickael Antoine-Curier and Abdel Zarabi. There is also rumours as to the future of Alan O'Brien, Benji and Yves Ma-Kalambay.

Boozy, 29, has been at Easter Road since the start of the 2004/05 season when he arrived from French side Le Harve.

He was then Hibs manager Tony Mowbray's first signing, a signing he described as "finding a gem on a beach".

The midfielder maestro had a good spell in
Edinburgh and became a huge fans favourite. He played in the Uefa Intertoto Cup twice, The Uefa Cup once and pocketed a Scottish League Cup Winners medal as the Hibees triumphed 5-1 at Hampden over Kilmarnock in the 2006/07 final.

Boozy said:

"I am delighted to be signing for
Coventry City, I am very excited about next season.

"It is another step in my career. I had four very good years in
Scotland and I am very excited about this new challenge."

Beuzelin's departure from Easter Road leaves a massive hole in the centre of a midfield that has been depleted of a load of quality over the last 18 months. The Hibees have lost Scott Brown, Kevin Thomson, Michael Stewart, Ivan Sproule, Stephen Glass and now Boozy, Mixu MUST be handed some funds to try to add quality or it could be a long hard season next year!!

Good luck Boozy and thanks for your contribution over the last four years, especially THAT day at Hampden, from everyone at Hibernian-mad.
