Hibs midfielder Josh Campbell signs new contract

Last updated : 02 December 2021 By Steve Forbes

Hibs youngster Josh Campbell has become the latest player to sign a new deal with the club.

The young midfielder has become the SIXTH player in the last couple of weeks to extend their stay in Edinburgh.

21-year-old Campbell has agreed a new deal until the summer of 2025, after some recent, excellent displays in midfield.

Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss Jack Ross said:

“Josh has been at the club for a number of years and desperately wants to do well for Hibernian FC.

“He’s made significant progress compared to where he was this time last season and we’re constantly working to help him develop his game and a consistency in everything he does.

“We want to keep our best young players at the club, and we’re pleased that Josh has agreed this new deal with us.”

Hibernian-Mad View:

A well deserved new deal for the young lad.

Josh has been outstanding in the middle of the park for the Hibees, and has taken his chance with both hands after the injury to Kyle Magennis.

Let's hope this new deal, spurs Josh to kick-on even further and cement his place in the starting 11 at Easter Road.
