Hibs have tody revealed that midfielder Josh Vela has signed for Engish League One club Shrewsbury Town.
The 26-year-old joined the Hibees on a three-year-deal from Bolton Wanderers in the summer, but he has failed to hold down a regular place in the side.
Vela agreed his release from the Hibees and joined the English side on a two-year-deal.
He made 17 appearances for the club.
Editor's View:
This is a good move for both the player and the club. Vela had fallen way out of the picture at Easter Road, and with the signing of Stephane Omeonga, was even further down the pecking order.
Hibs have now freed up a big wage and are looking to bring in a powerful, combatitive defensive midfielder.
Omeonga has come in off the back off an injury to Stevie Mallan, so the Hibees can now go out and add to their squad with Vela's departure.
