Its another exit from Easter Road on transfer deadline day, following the news that Dylan Levitt has left the club for Leyton Orient.

Hibs have revealed that veteran midfielder Junior Hoilett has also left the club after he agreed an immeadiate termination of his contract.

The 35-year-old asked to explore other options in an attempt to force his way into the Canada squad for th 2026 World Cup being held in Canada, Mexico and the USA.

Hibs agreed and the former Blackburn and Aberdeen player has signed for English League two side Swindon Town until the end of the season.

Hoilett leaves Leith after playing 53 times, scoring 7 goals and adding 6 assists.

Hibs boss David Gray said:

“Junior has been an incredible professional, a real leader and role model for everyone, both on and off the pitch.

"I would like to thank him for his time here at Hibs. He has been a privilege to coach and work with every day, and I wish him all the very best for the future and the next step in his career."

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW:

This is a tough one to take.

Junior has been a brilliant signing since arriving from Aberdeen 18 months ago.

Always dangerous when given a chance, sadly he started to fall down the pecking order at Easter Road.

It's totally understandable that he would want to make a World Cup on his home soil at his age.

We wish Junior well, thanks for everything and good luck on making the World Cup Junior!!
