According to reports in a couple of today’s newspapers, Hibs boss Colin Calderwood has told Kevin McBride he can leave Easter Road.

The 29-year-old has fallen out-of-favour since Colin Calderwood was appointed manager to replace John Hughes in October.

It now seems the former Celtic, Motherwell and Falkirk midfielder is set to follow Sol Bamba, who signed for Leicester City today, through the Leith exit door as Calderwood begins a squad overhaul.

McBride has played 34 games for the Hibees since signing at the start of last season, following his release from Falkirk.
