According to today's Scotsman, Hibs failed in an ambitious move to sign Scottish Cup hero Liam Henderson.
Henderson joined secured a loan move to Empoli from fellow Italians Hellas Verona just a few days ago.
The Scotsman claims Hibs entered talks with the Italian outfit and player and both were positive.
However, in the end, Henderson decided to stay in Italy.
The move for Henderson was also to add him AND complete the Omeonga signing and not as an alternative.
Editor's View:
So much for Hibs being "Skint".
Signing Hendo along with completing the signing of Stephane Omeonga would have been a sensational bit of business from the Hibees.
Manager Jack Ross is clearly being backed in the transfer market this window, so it could be an exciting end to the month for the Hibs support.
