Hibs No.2 Adams handed six game touchline ban

Hibs assistant manager Derek Adams has today been hit with a six game ban from the dugout.

The former Ross County manager was handed the lengthy ban, after his fourth misconduct code appearance at Hampden in three years.

Adams was sent to the stand during the Hibees 2-0 defeat to Motherwell in January, and has just recently completed a previous four match touchline ban from a previous offence.

35-year-old Adams was handed this latest touchline ban for “foul and abusive language” towards the referee, a charge that both Adams and boss Colin Calderwood both strongly deny happened, with Calderwood stating he had never heard Adams swear in all his time working with him.
