Hibs on the trail of Celtic keeper Mark Brown

Last updated : 06 July 2009 By Steve Forbes

Hibs have today been linked with a move for out-of-favour Celtic keeper Mark Brown.

The Hibees are looking for competition for current keepers Yves Ma-Kalambay and young Thomas Flynn.

Brown is now third choice at Darkheid behind Artur Boruc and new boy Lukasz Zaluska.

28-year-old Brown joined Celtic for an undisclosed six figure sum in January 2007, but he has failed to hold down the No1 spot, playing only 15 games in that time.

Hibs manager John Hughes is keen to take him to Easter Road, and Celtic are likely to let the player leave for the same figure he arrived for in Glasgow.

Brown has also played for Rangers, Motherwell and Inverness Caledonian Thistle,

He has also been capped by Scotland "B".
