Hibs quit East of Scotland League

Hibs have announced that they have pulled out of the East of Scotland set-up after only one season.

Despite the club winning the double in it's first season, the Central Taxi's First Division and the League Cup, cost cutting after relegation has hit the EOS side.

The EOS side was mostly made up of U19's, reserve players and returning injured first team players.

Hibs have had to cut back on the number of players on the books, to cut costs and give the club the best chance of getting out of the Championship at the first attempt.

The club resigned from the league at yesterday's AGM, with an EOS spokesman saying:

“I would like to thank Hibernian for everything that they have brought to the league over the last year. They have been a credit to the league.”
