Hibs reject second Forest bid for John McGinn

Last updated : 30 August 2017 By Steve Forbes

Hibs have today rejected a second transfer bid for midfielder John McGinn from Nottingham Forest.

The Hibees knocked back £750,000 from the English Championshi[ side last week, and have come back with a second bid being reported as "seven figure".

Nottingham Forest have already signed striker Jason Cummings from the Hibees in a £1m deal and are keen on landing his former team mate before the transfer window closes on Friday.

However, Hibs boss Neil Lennon described the opening offer as "laughable" and has valued the Scotland international at £5m.

Forest, managed by former The Rangers manager Mark Warburtin, are expected to come back with a third offer in the next few days.

McGinn, 22, is currently on international duty as Scotland gear up to face Lithuania and Malta in World Cup qualifying.
