Hibs have today revealed that they have released young defender Scott Taggart.

The 20-year-old right back has spent the season on loan with Stranraer and becomes the first victim of Pat Fenlon's summer cull.

Taggart played 17 times for the 3rd division side and scored 1 goal.

He was also on loan at Stranraer last season, making 10 appearances and scoring 1 goal.

Taggart also had a spell on loan at 2nd division side Ayr United in 2010, after making his breakthrough at Easter Road.

He made 3 appearances for the Hibees first team, making his debut against Hamilton Accies in May 2011, and was part of the club's 2009 U19 side that won the treble, the SPL U19 Title, The SFA Youth Cup and the East of Scotland Shield.

Everyone at Hibernian-Mad would like to wish Scott all the very best for his future career.
