Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has today revealed that the Hibees are running the rule over German keeper Christian Person.

The 28-year-old former Hertha
Berlin and Dynamo Dresden keeper played for the Hibees second string against Kilmarnock the other night.

Person has also played for 1.FC Magdeburg and Carl Zeiss Jena and has experience in the Bundesliga.

At the moment the Hibees only have youngsters Andy McNeil and David Grof fighting it out for the Number 1 jersey as first choice keeper Yves Ma-Kalambay is at the Olympics with the
Belgium squad.

Speaking about the player, Paatelainen said:

"Christian played against
Kilmarnock the other night.

"He is from
Germany and has experience playing in the Bundesliga, He has shown up quite well so far and we will see what happens.

"He was actually with us on trial before and he has come back so we can have another look at him."

Hibs have already secured five new signings over the summer, St Mirren full back David Van Zanten, French midfielder Steven Thicot, Joe Keenan from Melbourne Victory, Uruguayan maverick Fabian Yantorno and French U19 striker Steven Pinau on loan from Serie A outfit Genoa.

Could Person about to be number six???
