It has been revealed that legendary former South Africa striker Benni McCarthy is set to be appointed coach at Hibs.
The former Porto, Ajax and Blackburn striker left Belgian club St Trudien at the end of last season, following a short spell as assistant coach there.
McCarthy also had a previous short spell at Easter Road coaching, while doing his badges, whilst working towards his Uefa Pro license, he recently completed his "B" license.
Speaking to newspaper the Sowetan in his homeland, he said:
"For now I will probably go to Hibs and work with a coach and a friend I worked with at Celtic a few years ago (Lennon).
"I will go there and keep learning, The club is in Edinburgh, where I am currently staying.
"I live this side now and if an oppertunity to coach in Europe comes, then I will take it."
