It's been revealed tonight that Hibs are close to agreeing a deal with Manchester City to extend the loan of Ryan McGivern.
McGivern joined the club on loan in August, and has been outstanding in the heart of the Hibees defence.
The 22-year-old has apparently verbally agreed to extend his loan until the end of the season, and Manchester City are willing to let him stay in Edinburgh due to the size and quality of their squad, that makes his chances at the Etihad limited.
McGivern has already played 15 times for the Hibees, and looks set to stay in the capital, with the deal expected to go through in the next few days.
