Hibs are tonight close to agreeing a deal to sign Celtic midfielder Ewan Henderson.

The 21-year-old has been told by the Glasgow club he is free to leave and is expected to become one of a number of signings for the Hibees over the next few days.

Henderson was apparently at East Mains today and according to reports has agreed a 3-and-a-half year deal at Easter Road.

The Hibees are close to completing the signing of Harry Clarke from Arsenal in a loan deal, leading to a summer free transfer when his contract expires, and they are also set to complete the stunning £350,000 capture of 19-year-old goal machine Elias Melkersen from Norwegian Champions Bodo/Glimnt.

New boss Shaun Maloney won't be finished there either, with another couple of signings said to be in the pipeline.

Hibs have also already completed the signings of USA international winger Chris Mueller from Orlando City and young midfielder Dylan Tait form Raith Rovers.

Hibernian-Mad View:

What an exciting time to be a Hibee, we already have a squad that has taken us to cup finals and semi finals, and qualified for European football.

The signings we are making could take us to the next level.

Henderson looks a really exciting signing on paper, he has flirted with the Celtic first team and even scored against Spanish giants Real Betis in Europe this season.

Let's hope we can push these deals over the line.

It looks like being a busy and exiting transfer window for Hibs fans.
