Hibs set to sign Chris Cadden from Columbus Crew

Last updated : 03 January 2021 By Steve Forbes

Hibs boss Jack Ross is set to complete the signing of former Motherwell player Chris Cadden.

Cadden, 24, is on his way out of MLS side Columbus Crew, and it seems the Hibees have beaten off competition from English side Oxford United, where Cadden previously spent time on loan.

The Hibees are hoping to boost their squad with the versatile Cadden, who can play wide right, as well as wing back or in the middle of the park.

Hibs next game is against Celtic at Parkhead, and the men from Easter Road are hoping Cadden will be in the squad.

The onlt thing about the deal that is unclear, is if it will be a loan deal or permanent transfer.

A good signing if the Hibees can pull it off.

Our form has nose-dived these last few weeks, and this signing could give us the boost we are looking for.

It's also good to see us making early moves in the transfer window.

Cadden gives us options in numerous positions and hopefully he wont be the only incoming signing, with the current, small sqaud struggling.
