Hibs are set to make their first signing of the January transfer window.

Freed Preston North End winger Chris Humphrey is said to have agreed, in principal, a move to Easter Road.

Humphrey had his Preston deal ripped up today, meaning he can sign as a free agent when the transfer window opens on Sunday.

Lennon is hoping to push the deal through, so that the player can be added to the squad for the visit of Dundee Utd next Friday night.

The 29-year-old Jamaican international had a previous, impressive, four year spell in Scotland with Motherwell, before joining Preston on a bosman free in 2013.

Humphrey will bring some much needed pace and creativity to the Hibees, as they look to take top spot back from Dundee Utd.

He has played over 370 games in his career, with Shrewsbury, Motherwell and Preston and has been capped 12 times at international level.
