Hibs set to sign defender Brian McLean

Hibs boss Neil Lennon is set to sign central defender Brian McLean on a short term deal.

The former Rangers and Motherwell defender is a free agent and will sign for the Hibees on a deal until the end of the season.

McLean has spent the last two years playing for Brunei DPMM, who despite being from Brunei, play in the S League in Singapore, and have also played in Malaysia.

The 32-year-old will join Efe Ambrose in signing for the Hibees over the next few days.

Lennon has moved quickly to bolster his back-line, with Paul Hanlon, Liam Fontaine and Jordon Forster all injured. Darren McGregor the Hibees only fit centre half.

McLean has also played for Ross County & Preston North End, and has been capped at U17 level by Scotland and has one cap for Northern Ireland.
