Hibs are said to be close to finalising a deal for striker Dylan Bikey.

According to the Scottish Sun, the Hibees have beaten off Dundee Utd to sign the 21-year-old striker.

The Frenchman spent a spell on trial earlier this week and clearly impressed Neil Lennon.

Bikey has agreed to join the club in principle, with personal terms and a compensation fee to be agreed with his parent club Dieppe, expected to be around £40,000.

Stirling Albion released the player from his amatuer contract yesterday, which is how they got around paying the compensation fee themselves.

Hibs will be hoping to tie up the signing in the next few days, for a player who scored 9 goals in 9 games for the Binos.

Bikey would follow Chris Humphreys and Scott Gallacher in signing during the January transfer window.
