According to tonight's Edinburgh Evening News, Hibs are closing in on the signing of goalkeeper Adam Bogdan.
The 32-year-old is said to be close to agreeing a return to Easter Road, despite the Hibees having no manager, following the sacking of Paul Heckingbottom.
It's said the former Liverpool keeper has kept in touch with a lot of players and staff at the club, and this has paved the way for his return.
Bogdan is expected to sign a short-term deal until January, which, if he impresses, could lead to an extension.
It also calls in to question the future of Israel international Ofir Marciano, who recently expressed his frustration at losing his place to the on-loan Chris Maxwell and hinted he could seek a move away.
Editor's View:
Bogdan would be a very good signing for the club, he was excellent between the sticks the first time around before his unfortunate injury.
However, losing Marciano would be a massive blow, he has easily been the best Hibs keeper in a generation, probably since the days of Leighton and Goram.
It could also possibly mean that Maxwell returns to Preston when the window opens in January and that Bogdan would come in to fight Rocky for the gloves??
It could also point towards the club may have possibly got a new manager, and he has pin-pointed Bogdan as his first signing??
Rumors were rife this morning on social media that Jack Ross had got the job, but, as yet, there has been no official conformation.
