Hibs have today announced their first pre-season friendly for the summer, ahead of the 2010/11 SPL season. John Hughes’ side will make the short 75 mile trip to Cumbria to face English League One side Carlisle United. The match takes place at Brunton Park on Sunday 1st August 2010, with a 2pm kick off. Interestingly, Hibs have been linked with moves for two Carlisle players, last season it was captain Danny Livesey, but more recently the Hibees have been credited with an interest in defender Richard Keogh. The Hibees should take a decent support over the border, especially if you take in to account they took 3,000 down to Bolton Wanderers and 1,800 to Blackburn Rovers last summer. It should make for a decent warm-up before the Hibees enter the Europa League qualifiers.
