Hibs sign Czech keeper Jakub Divis on loan

Hibs boss Colin Calderwood, this afternoon, completed his 5th signing of the January transfer window.

Czech keeper Jakub Divis has joined the Hibees on a twelve month loan deal from Slovakian club Tatran Presov.

The 24-year-old impressed while on trial at the club's East Mains Facility last week, enough to force Calderwood into adding him to his new recruits.

The giant 6ft 5in keeper has also played for Slavia Prague in his homeland, and is widely regarded as the best keeper in the Slovak league, but the hierarchy at his current club felt they could stand in his way of a chance to move to the UK.

It's thought Hibs fought of English Championship side Doncaster to land the keeper, who will fight it out with current keepers Mark Brown, Graham Stack and Greame Smith for the No.1 spot at Easter Road.

Hibs also have first refusal to sign him on a permanent basis, should he impress while in the Capital.

Welcome to the Hibees Jakub.
