Noubissie, 24, has been snapped up on a two year contract, with the option of a third, after impressing Collins while playing for
Livingston in a closed door match at Easter Road.

The Hibs boss also watched him in
Livingston's opening league game last Saturday against Dundee.

Former Hibs manager John Blackley, now assistant to Paul Sturrock at
Swindon, also gave Collins a glowing report of the player.

Sturrock wanted to keep the player at Swindon, but he decided to move on from the English side.

The former
Swindon Town, Crewe and Sedan player will go immediately on loan to Livingston for three months to get match fitness, after having no pre-season and a lack of games last season.

Collins was delighted with his latest capture and said:

"I felt that, while we have plenty up front and in the wider areas, we needed another player in the squad capable of playing that holding role in midfield.

"I saw him in that friendly against Livingston and he did very well. Mark was keen on signing him and they offered him a contract but I think Mark had an idea I was interested because I told him I liked the 'boy in midfield'. I went to see him play for Livingston again on Saturday, he did well once more and I invited him along to join us for a few days. Patrick was a free agent, I've been up front with Mark and he understands."

"I feel he needs competitive matches rather than reserve games. I know that under Mark, Livingston will play football the right way, in a similar fashion to the way we play."

Speaking of his loan move to Livingston, Collins said:

"He will train with them in the mornings and with us in the afternoons so between games and training we'll work on his fitness."

"He is a good football player, he intercepts the ball and tackles well. Like all our players it's not what they have done in the past but what I feel they can do in the future. He has a lot of self-belief which I like because you need it in this game."
