Last updated : 08 July 2016 By Steve Forbes

Hibs boss Neil Lennon has this afternoon confirmed his second signing of the summer.

Trialist goalkeeper Ross Laidlaw has signed for the Hibees, after impressing Lennon during his stint at East Mains.

Laidlaw, 23, was a free agent after leaving Raith Rovers during the summer.

The player has signed a 1-year-deal and is expected to come in as cover, along with Finnish youngster Otso Virtanen, for a new number 1 keeper, with Mark Oxley in discussions over a move to Southend United.

Laidlaw joins veteran striker Grant Holt in joining the Hibees this window.
