Hibs have today confirmed the signing of Manchester United defender Will Fish.
The 20-year-old central defender returns to Easter Road for a second, season-long loan spell, the only down side is that United will have a review in January, meaning we could lose him then.
Fish travelled with United's pre-season squad to the USA, stopping off before he went to sign again for the Hibees, and should be back in time for the up-coming crucial 2nd leg against Inter d'Escaldes in Uefa Conference league 2nd Qualifying Round.
Speaking to the official website, Hibs boss Lee Johnson said:
“We’re delighted to get this deal over the line and bring Will back to the Club.
“During his first season with us he showed that he is a player with real quality, and he adds composure and consistency to our back-line.
“Everyone at the Club is looking forward to working with Will again and having him around the building.”
HIBS-MAD VIEW
A Brilliant signing for the club, he adds some much needed quality and steel to the defence.
It looked like at times he might not have been coming back, so it's good to get it over the line.
Hopefully he will be ready to play next weeks return leg against Inter d'Escaldes after a horror 2-1 loss in the first leg in Andorra.
