Hibs have just landed transfer deadline day signing number three, with the capture of Motherwell midfielder Gael Bigirmana.

25-year-old Burundi international Bigirmana signs for the Hibees for a nominal fee, on a deal until the end of the season.

He played 57 times for the Steelmen.

Speaking to the official website, the former Newcastle and Rangers player said:

“When I was told Hibs wanted to take me I was gobsmacked.

“We didn’t think anything was going to happen in this window, it just shows you in football you never know what can happen.

“Every time I’ve played against Hibs I’ve seen some really good performances from them, some good technical players, and now I’ve got my chance to join them.”

He follows Marc McNulty and Darnell Johnson in signing for the Hibees this evening.
