Hibs boss Alan Stubbs has today confirmed yet another signing, as he continues to reshape his squad for next season.

The Hibees have tied down out-of-contract winger Danny Carmichael after he left Queen of the South.

Carmichael, 24, has signed a two-year-deal at Easter Road.

Speaking to the official club website, he said:

"I enjoyed some memorable experiences at Queen of the South and now I can't wait to start the next chapter of my career at Hibernian.

"I'm looking forward to joining up with the squad for the start of pre-season and working with the manager.

"The fact he wanted to add me to the squad here is really pleasing and now I want to play my part in helping the club to achieve promotion."

Hibs boss Alan Stubbs added:

“We’re delighted to be able to sign Dan – he gives us more attacking options and adds pace to the team in a number of positions.

“Every time I’ve seen him play, I’ve been impressed by him; he is an exciting winger – direct, quick and clever.

“We’ve been busy over the last couple of days and the deals we’ve concluded are a statement of intent – we want to hit the ground running next season.”

It's more good news coming from Easter Road.

In the last few days the Hibees have confirmed the signing of James Keatings from Hearts, and also the contract extensions of both David Gray and Fraser Fyvie.

Head of football operations George Craig has pointed out the extra income from the HSL has helped massively.

He said:

“HSL have played a pivotal role in helping the club to activate our player recruitment plans as quickly as possible.

“The funding generated by HSL, season ticket sales and shares has enabled us to be in a really strong position at this stage in the summer.

“We would encourage supporters to follow suit by signing up for HSL and playing their part in helping to drive the club forward.”

Hibs CEO Leeann Dempster also praised the contribution the HSL has made, she added:

“This signing demonstrates our commitment to providing Alan with the resources he needs to continue the development of his squad for the coming campaign.

“We are able to do this in no small part because of the contributions made by HSL.

"The £100,000 contributed so far and the certainty of another £150,000 over the next 12 months have made a real difference in my being able to commit expenditure on players.

"Supporters have asked for evidence of the impact they can directly have on our Club and this is tangible evidence of that impact.”

Keep em' coming Hibees!!
