Hibs have this evening, secured their 5th signing of the January transfer window, with the capture of Slaven Belupo attacker Ante Suto.
The Croatian, who can also represent Australia at international level, has signed a 2-and-a-half-year deal at Easter Road, with the Hibees holding the option of adding a further year.
He joins for an undisclosed fee.
Suto started his career with Hadjuk Split, before moving to Croatia Zmijavci, and then his current club in 2024.
He has been involved in 10 goals in 18 games this season (4 goals, 6 assists).
Speaking to the official club website, Hibs boss David Gray said:
“Ante is another strong addition to our forward line and gives us a very direct threat in front of goal.
“He is a powerful player with a strong physical presence and he is a brilliant option to have because he is capable of playing out wide as well as through the middle.
“We’re delighted to bring him in on a permanent basis and look forward to working with him on the training pitch.”
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
We don't know much about Ante, but he seems to have started the season in good form, let's hope he can bring it to Leith.
It's another attacking player added to the ranks for the run-in, as Hibs hope to push for Europe.
