Hibs have announced they have added a new signing to the club's development squad.

21-year-old Andrew Blake is a right back from New Zealand, who spent pre-season with the club, playing in the friendly with Bertwick Rangers at Shielfield Park.

He has previously played with Wellington Phoenix in his homeland, and has impressed enough to land a development contract at Easter Road.

Speaking to the official club website, he said:

"I'm delighted to have signed for Hibernian.

"I've enjoyed my time at the club so far - I've been here a couple of months now and it's been a great experience.

"Hibs have a reputation for developing young talent and there's a lot of talented players in the current squad.

"We had a good start against Kilmarnock on Tuesday and I'm looking forward to developing my game further over the coming season."

Welcome to the club Andrew.
