Hibs striker Abdessalam Benjelloun has revealed that he is unsure whether he will be at Easter Road next season or not.
The Moroccan international’s contract is up at the end of the season, and no offer has been made to keep him in Edinburgh.
25-year-old “Benji” insists he is happy at the club, and would like to extend his four year stay in Leith.
He said:
"If Hibs want me to stay, will I be happy to stay? Yes. I've never wanted to leave Hibs. I am very happy at the club.
"Hibs are in my heart for life. I have never played for a team before and become a fan of that team, apart from now at Hibs. Even if I leave this club I will come back and support the team.
"I have had a great four years here and was part of the CIS Cup win in 2007. I have played under four managers and have had a great relationship with the players and everyone from the chairman to the last man.
"I hope we can do something between now and the end of the season but you can't get everything you want in life."
The highlight of Benjelloun’s stay at the club is surely the League Cup win in 2007, when he finished top scorer in the competition, two of them coming in the 5-1 cup final win over Kilmarnock.
