Hibs forward Clayton Donaldson has apparently pulled out of a move to English League One side Crewe Alexandra last night.

The 24-year-old former
York City hitman has been down in Crewe talking to boss Steve Holland over the last couple of days after the Hibees accepted a £200,000 offer for the player.

Donaldson has been out of the Hibs side for a number of months now and has been told he can leave Easter Road by manager Mixu Paatelainen.

The forward has failed to agree personal terms with Alexandra according to some reports and it now seems the deal is dead, with the English club looking at other targets.

Darlington, Oldham Athletic and Inverness Caledonian Thistle have also been credited with an interest in the out-of-favour Englishman.
