Hibs have told Lithuanian striker Deivydas Matulevicius he is free to find a new club.
The 28-year-old only joined the Hibees on a two-year deal in the summer but is expected to leave when the transfer window opens.
Matulevicius has struggled since arriving at Easter Road, and has failed to make an impact in even Development games.
Hibs boss Neil Lennon is looking to freshen up his squad in January and will allow the Lithuanian international to go to free up wages.
Matulevicius has failed to start a game for the Hibees and has made sporadic appearances from the bench, and finding himself well down the pecking order.
