Hibs striker James Keatings has today been linked with a move to Dundee Utd.

According to the Evening Telegraph, The Tannadice side are said to be monitoring his contract situation, and could be set to offer him a pre-contract move to Dundee.

Keatings has an offer on the table from Hibs, and he has already revealed there is other clubs interested, but he is keen on first team football, having struggled to oust Jason Cummings from the Hibees starting line-up.

However, Keatings is also keen on playing in the Scottish Premiership, having now been promoted to the Premiership three times, with Hamilton Accies, Hearts & now the Hibees, but he left both previous clubs before he could appear in the division.

Dundee United, of course, are still in the Championship, but are involved in the play-off promotion fight, and the move could become appealing should the Tangerines seal a return to the top league with Champions Hibs.

Keatings has scored 8 times this season, and has managed 20 goals in 72 appearances for Hibs.

He became a club legend when he was part of the side that ended Hibs 114 year wait for the Scottish Cup last season. He has also won the Scottish Championship title with the Hibees.
