Hibs striker Steven Fletcher has today landed his second Young Player of the Year Award for the season.

Just last week Fletcher was named Clydesdale Bank SPL Young Player of the Year, and now he has followed that up by landing the Scottish Football Writers' Young Player of the Year Award!!!

22-year-old Fletcher has now become the first player to win the award twice, and also the first to win it two seasons running.

Fletcher scored his first Scotland goal recently, and what turned out to be the winner, in the 2-1 World Cup Qualifying win over Iceland at Hampden.

He has now played 177 games for the Hibees and scored 52 goals, he is expected to leave the club in the summer for somewhere in the region of £4m.

Fletcher has revealed that he is delighted with his recent accolade and said:

"It's the sort of thing you dream of maybe winning once but to do it twice in a row is fantastic.

"It's always nice to be recognised and it rounds off a memorable week for me."
