Hibs strikers Abdessalam Benjelloun and Steven Fletcher both made their debuts at full international level last night.

The Hibs pair both had some degree of success as they both look to cement their places in their respective squads in the quest for qualification for the 2010 World Cup in
South Africa.

Steven Fletcher made his full
Scotland debut on his 21st birthday and was handed 45 minutes on the left of midfield.

Although playing out of position, the Hibernian striker gave a good account of himself, setting up another former Hibernian youth product, Kenny Miller, for the equalising
Scotland goal in a 1-1 draw with Croatia at Hampden Park.

The 21-year old had to come off injured at half time and was replaced by ex Rangers journeyman midfielder Gavin Rae.

Another Hibernian forward who made his debut at full international level, Abdessalam Benjelloun, had a debut to remember!!

The 23-year-old former Moghreb Fes striker came off the bench to score
Morocco's fourth goal in 4-1 win over Belgium in Brussels.

Benji only last week revealed his frustration at a season that has been blighted by injury and hopefully this will see him return to the Benji we all know and help fire us in to the Uefa Cup next season.

Also involved at international level last night was another young Hibs forward, Ross Campbell, who managed 60 minutes as the Scotland U21's beat
Finland at Pittodrie 2-1.

Well done lads!!
