According to reports in Sweden, Hibs have made an offer of £700,000 for KUPS midfielder Matias Siltanen.
FotbollDirekt claim Hibs have apparently matched the offer that Swedish side Djurgardens have made for the 17-year-old Finnish youngster.
There was confusion to start with as they thought Bournemouth had made the offer, and hadn't realised that the Hibees are also Black Knight backed.
It's claimed the next few days are crucial as the player weighs up what his next move will be.
Siltanen was thought to be keen on the move to Sweden, as he had connections at Djurgardens, however the possible exposure to rest of the UK and the possible English Premier League riches could sway him.
Hibs could also face competition from Megabucks English side Manchester City, who are also said to be watching the player.
For a 17-year-old Siltanen has already squeezed a lot into his career, he has won both the Finnish title and Cup with KUPS, he has also played in European competition and played nearly 70 games.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
This lad looks like an exciting prospect, should the Hibees pull the deal off, it looks like a it could be a real coup.
They will face stiff competition to land the youngster, but it's good to see the club backing the manager in the transfer market once again.
We wait and see over the next few days what happens with this one.
